If you think it can be difficult to find what you’re looking for, imagine what it’s like for these companies? Not only do you have to predict what words or phrases people are using every time, but you also have to stay on the first page of these search engine results. Businesses use search engine optimization or SEO to get the high rankings needed to stay on top, of the first page. If search engines don’t see very many companies getting high rankings, or in layman’s terms, not many people coming to their sites, then the search engine starts dropping the company from the first few pages, down more and more. It can really mean the difference between getting a lot of revenue and dropping off the face of the earth. It doesn’t matter if you have the greatest website in the world, with awesome products, if you don’t get high rankings, you aren’t going to make money online.
